Julia Rose Therapy

Glad you’re here

About me

I believe you are the expert of your own experience. There’s nothing I can tell you about your life that you don’t already know on some level. My role is to offer tools, support, and space that can help you flourish in the unique way that makes the most sense for your goals, growth, and life.

Whatever you’re going through — whether it’s depression, anxiety, loss, grief, trauma, physical pain, overwhelm, burnout, spiritual crisis, or relational challenges — you inherently contain the inner resources to navigate it and emerge wiser and brighter on the other side. I can offer you a compass and a fire to keep you warm on the journey, but ultimately you’re the explorer of your own psyche. This perspective makes my practice deeply collaborative, and sets you up to move forward with confidence in your own ability to grow and meet life’s challenges.

My therapeutic approach is body-based and trauma-informed. With advanced training in Internal Family Systems (inner child and parts work) and Jungian Therapy, I support you in building resilience, expanding capacity, and welcoming all parts of yourself home. I work to create a safe, warm environment where inner exploration and self-reclamation can unfold organically. This creates more harmony in the psyche, helping hyper-critical inner voices or parts of us stuck in unhelpful patterns to release those painful roles and find peace and belonging.

An understanding of early developmental experiences — how they shape our nervous systems, attachment styles, health, and relationships — helps me meet you with both insight and compassion. For those who are interested, we may also engage with somatic tools, mindfulness, spirituality, and dreamwork to access the subconscious and move toward deeper integration and fulfillment.

Every person is different, and so is every healing journey. I tailor my work to meet your unique needs, and together we’ll co-create a treatment plan that supports your growth and well-being.

*I have completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Degree and am currently awaiting RCC designation from the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. I am fully qualified, but the RCC application process takes several months to review. I am offering reduced cost counselling in the meantime, at a rate of $125/hr. Sliding scale is available.

My services

My practice is body-based and trauma-informed. I am committed to supporting you through the complexities of your emotional and relational experiences. Understanding how early childhood experiences influence our present attachment styles, relationships, health, nervous systems, and experiences allows me to support your healing process from an informed, compassionate lens. I believe that every individual is unique with unique therapeutic needs. I will work with you to create a treatment plan that optimally contributes to your well-being.
